The Next Generation of Venture Capitalist in the "Great 38" - Introducing Kyndall Kirkland
Investing in diverse tech-enabled startups while fostering future leaders through hands-on fellowship experiences in venture capital
At DVRGNT Ventures, our mission is to invest in tech-enabled startups across the most economically and culturally diverse region of America, known as the "Great 38" states, formerly called Middle America. But our vision goes beyond investment—we are dedicated to expanding knowledge of the venture capital industry by creating pathways for aspiring investors through our fellowship program. This program offers hands-on exposure to financial analysis, due diligence, portfolio management, and more. In the coming weeks, we’ll spotlight our fellows, sharing their backgrounds, goals, and motivations for pursuing a career in venture capital.
Meet Kyndall Kirkland
Kyndall’s experience spans education, working with kids, and content creation. With a background as an educator, she has developed a deep understanding of the challenges many students face, particularly those with learning disabilities. This insight has fueled her passion for finding innovative ways to enhance learning experiences for these students. Working with kids has only strengthened this drive, while her role as a content creator has equipped her with skills in communication and engagement, making complex ideas accessible and relatable to a broader audience. Outside of work, Kyndall enjoys traveling and snowboarding, experiences that allow her to recharge and gain new perspectives, fueling her creativity and inspiring her professional projects.
In the future, Kyndall aims to keep growing as a content creator, building brands that connect with diverse audiences and bring fresh ideas to the table. She hopes to merge her background in education and content creation to develop projects that combine entertainment with positive change. She’s also excited to expand her role in venture capital through DVRGNT Ventures, supporting tech companies that focus on aiding students with learning disabilities. By blending creativity with business skills, Kyndall aspires to make a lasting impact in both content creation and venture capital. DVRGNT Ventures aligns closely with her passion for driving innovation and making a meaningful difference, allowing her to support startups developing technology and solutions for students with learning disabilities—an area she cares deeply about. Through DVRGNT, Kyndall can pursue her interests in education, entrepreneurship, and creativity to help bring projects to market that address societal challenges and foster progress.
Looking ahead, her long-term goal is to become a venture capital associate after graduating, working her way up in the industry. This role will allow her to combine her skills in education, content creation, and venture capital to support pioneering startups. In parallel, Kyndall also plans to earn her cosmetology license with the vision of opening a salon tailored to the hair textures of women of color, eventually creating her own hair care line to support this community. Alongside building her career in venture capital, she intends to continue her journey as a brand content creator, blending her passions and expertise to make a meaningful impact in both fields.
Nice to meet you all!
